What are the Paranasal Sinuses?
Paranasal sinuses are air-filled spaces inside the bones of your face and skull, located around your nose. You have several sinuses on each side of your face — in your forehead, cheeks, between the eyes, and behind the nose.
What is Sinusitis?
Sinusitis occurs when the lining of the sinuses becomes inflamed or swollen, leading to symptoms such as:
